DIRECTIONS TO TECHNISA

FROM THE EAST RAND AND PRETORIA

Follow the concrete highway to Roodepoort.
Take the William Nichol off-ramp.
Turn left into William Nichol Road. Continue along this road.
The road splits - Randburg slightly to the right and Johannesburg straight. DO NOT turn right towards Randburg. Carry on straight (i.e. keep to the left) heading towards Johannesburg.
Pass Bryanstan High School on the right hand side.
Turn right into Republic Road, as if going towards the Randburg Waterfront.
Go uphill, and once in the dip, turn left at the Shell Garage into Main Street.
At the second stop street, turn right into Huguenot Street. TECHNISA is on you left. Visitors' parking is available just outside the gate.

FROM THE WEST RAND

Follow the Concrete Highway.
Take the Hans Strydom off-ramp and turn right into Hans Strydom Road.
Turn left into Republic Road.
Pass the Randburg Waterfront on the right. Carry on straight, crossing quite a number of robots (streets like Pine, Main [D0 NOT turn into this Main Street], Surrey, Kent and Oak). Go uphill and pass M-Net (Multi Choice) on your right. Cross Hendrik Verwoerd Street. Go downhill and cross Jan Smuts Avenue.
The next street in the dip is Main Street. Turn right into Main Street. (There is a Shell Garage at that corner.)
At the second stop street, turn right into Huguenot Street. TECHNISA is on you left. Visitors' parking is available just outside the gate.

FROM JOHANNESBURG

Follow Jan Smuts Avenue.
Go through the Zoo Lake area and Rosebank.
Keep to your left, going towards Randburg. You will see Hyde Park Corner on your right.
Cross a few robots and turn right into Main Street at Varsity City corner.
The road curves to the left.
At the first stop street, turn left into Huguenot Street. TECHNISA is on you left. Visitors' parking is available just outside the gate.

As a distance education student you may often feel as if you are studying in isolation. This need not be the case. Remember that your lecturer and student support staff members are available to assist you with your studies and administrative matters. They will:

• assist with subject choices, examination matters, financial queries, etc.;
• advise you on completing practical and theoretical assignments; and
• explain sections of the work which you might not clearly understand.

You may contact your lecturer or student support staff member by writing a letter, visiting them personally on appointment, by telephone or e-mail. To make it easier for you to contact them, we have installed direct lines to everybody. Please refer to the list on the back of this page to see whom you should contact for queries.

As 'n afstandsonderrig student mag dit baie keer vir jou voel of jy in afsondering studeer. Dit hoef egter glad nie die geval te wees nie. Onthou dat jou lektor en studente ondersteuningspersoneel beskikbaar is om jou met jou studies en administratiewe aangeleenthede by te staan. Hulle sal jou met die volgende sake kan help:

• vakkeuses, eksamenaangeleenthede, finansiële navrae, ens;
• advies oor die voltooiing van praktiese en teoretiese werkopdragte; en
• verduideliking van gedeeltes van die werk wat jy nie heeltemal verstaan nie.

Jy kan jou lektor of ondersteuningspersoneellid skakel deur aan hulle te skryf, hulle persoonlik per afspraak te besoek, te skakel of e-pos aan hulle te stuur. Om dit vir jou makliker te maak om hulle te skakel, het ons direkte telefoonlyne na elkeen laat installeer. Verwys asseblief na die personeelkontaklys op die rugkant van die bladsy om te sien wie jy vir spesifieke navrae moet skakel.
