Shawn Driman is considered to be one of the most technically brilliant and gifted digital photographers in South Africa. As the first photographer to embrace the high-end digital platform in 1995, Shawn is well known in the advertising industry for his outstanding images, vast experience and charismatic personality.
Shawn recently moved to his second studio in Wendywood in Johannesburg and it is here that the creative mix of the agency, the client, the photographer and stylist work at its best.
There is no doubt that industry experience amounts to invaluable skills and with over 25 years of a passion for photography, Shawn and his team manage the production process seamlessly. “We look on our clients as friends, as the photographic image they want to portray is technically in our hands,” says Shawn. “So we work together from the initial briefing through to post-production and a longstanding relationship develops.”

Shawn grew up in Durban, graduating at Natal Technikon in 1984 with the highest marks in the country, studying with Obie Oberholzer, the esteemed photographer and publisher.
An entrepreneur at heart, Shawn knew that the only place to continue his career was Johannesburg. Over the years, he built not only his reputation for being one of the first to champion digital photography successfully and gradually turn the industry perception around, he made his mark as a landscape photographer and as a well-known veteran of the University of Life.
