WHAT MUST I DO?

Complete a registration form, obtainable from TECHNISA. 

WHICH DETAILS ARE REQUESTED ON THE REGISTRATION FORM?

  • Full name(s) and surname.
  • Correct and complete ID number as well as date of birth.
  • Correct address and postal code where study material must be sent to.
  • Contact telephone number.
  • Indicate alternative language choice.
  • If paying by credit card, fill in the number, CVV number (the last three digits at the back of your credit card) and expiry date correctly.
  • Card holder’s signature (credit card).

  • Sign the registration form.

Please note:

  • All information requested on the form other than above, must also be completed.
  • Electronic registration cannot be done, all the information required cannot be e-mailed

WHAT ELSE IS NEEDED?

  • The applicable fee.
  • Certified copies of previous qualifications, where relevant.
  • A certified copy of the information page of your identity document.
  • Covering letter from company when paying on approved account and company stamp on registration form.
  • List of exempted subjects (if applicable).

  • 4 I.D. photographs

REGISTRATION FOR EXAMINATIONS

All examinations are written at an examination centre, usually a technical college.

As a TECHNISA student it is your responsibility to:

  • Register for the examination well in advance of the closing date for the applicable examination at your nearest technical college or examination centre;
  • Produce a valid student card as proof of enrolment with TECHNISA when registering for examination;
  • Pay the examination registration fee and obtain the examination dates at the college where you will be writing the examination; and
  • Indicate clearly on the examination registration form that you are a TECHNISA student (i.e. CORRESPONDENCE student, indicated by a code 4).

ASSIGNMENT PROCEDURES

HOW CAN I DELIVER MY ASSIGNMENTS TO TECHNISA?

  • In person during office hours, as well as after hours.  You may post your assignment in the special assignment box at the main entrance in Huguenot Street.
  • Post them to: Private Bag X7 Pinegowrie, Jhb, 2123.
  • Make use of ‘Assignment Delivery Services’ (ADS).  This is a company dedicated to delivering your assignments to TECHNISA safely and on time.  The red ADS assignment boxes are only available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion and Vaal Triangle at selected book stores and 24 Hr Engen Service Stations.  Contact TECHNISA for further details.

EXAMINATION AND ASSIGNMENT LETTER 2001

Dear Student

IT IS REQUIRED THAT:

upon registration for the examination, you must produce proof of registration at a technical college. In your case this will be your student card received from TECHNISA after registration, which must be produced at the examination centre where you intend to register for the examination.

RESPONSIBILITY OF STUDENTS

It is your responsibility to:

  • register for the examination at the nearest technical college or examination centre appointed for this purpose before the expiry date;
  • pay examination registration fees at your examination centre; and
  • submit proof of enrolment (student card) to the examination centre upon registering for the examination.

ADMISSION FOR THE EXAMINATION AND SUBMISSION OF ASSIGNMENTS

As a TECHNISA student you can obtain admission only if the following conditions have been complied with:

  • all compulsory assignments must be completed and returned to TECHNISA for evaluation as this will make up part of your term/semester/yearmark, which will be added to your exam mark in order to calculate your final (promotional) mark;
  • the required practical component (where applicable) must be completed; and
  • completed assignments must be submitted in time, reaching TECHNISA not later than the following closing dates:

Assignments reaching TECHNISA after the above dates, will not be considered for admission in the forthcoming examination, but will be retained until a following examination. You may not submit assignments twice for evaluation during the same registration period, except if requested or recommended by the lecturer to do so. Completed assignments may not be faxed through to TECHNISA. You may, however, e-mail your assignments to us, but only to the following two e-mail addresses:

  • If you have obtained admission for the examination and/or have failed, or have not written the examination during your period of registration with TECHNISA, you may make enquiries at the examination centre about further possibilities to write the examination.
  • The supplementary examination for NIC courses is in June and for NSC courses in February.
