Super Fine Micro-Toning System
Minolta’s unique transfer technology employs a new Super Fine Micro-Toning System. The toner particles have an average size of 7 or 8 microns, producing a high print resolution of 600dpi. Coupled with Fine-ART (Advanced Resolution Technology), the resulting images are comparable to 1200dpi print quality, obvious in the sharp and striking black type, thin line reproduction and excellent photo reproduction.

Minolta’s technology keeps line borders less jagged and thin line reproduction sharper, which coupled with the unique new Super Fine Micro-Toning System, produces a print resolution comparable to 1200dpi quality.
To fully maximise the ability of the high-speed parallel port and to increase the printer’s processing speed, a high-speed RISC processor, based on the MIPS architecture, was added. The high-speed RISC processors range from 32-bit 16mhz to 64-bit 100mhz.
Toner and Drum Cartridge System
The two separate toner and drum cartridges maintain both the ease of use and compactness of a single imaging cartridge system while giving the user improved cost per copy. The drum cartridge is exchanged only after seven toner cartridges have been depleted. Easily replaced, both just snap into place with minimal handling and without dirtying hands. This system also results in a very affordable running cost per page.
PCL driver for WINDOWS 3.x and 95
On-line, on-screen information gives users immediate photorealistic feedback on printer status, with the "Show-me" command giving easy-to-follow instructions on operational processes. With its plug and play installation the "tabbed" graphic user interface allows quick and easy PCL5e driver control, including energy and toner conservation and its own soft font install programme.
The installation of the optional Network Board enables you to automatically switch to various network environments such as UNIX, Windows NT, Netware 3.X/4.X, and Macintosh.
The printer can be equipped with Adobe Postscript software, the worldwide standard page description language, ensuring higher quality text and graphics.
Easier operation and maintenance
The PagePro range features a GUI (Graphical User Interface) which allows you to more easily set-up the printer’s page and printing requirements. The all-in-one imaging cartridge is easily replaced with minimal handling and without dirtying your hands.
